License Plate Feedback: About This Tool

What This Is

License Plate Feedback is a lighthearted community tool for leaving anonymous 👍 or 👎 feedback on a license plate you spotted on the road — good driving, a courteous merge, or the opposite. Think of it as a digital version of a “How’s My Driving?” bumper sticker, crowdsourced by everyone who uses it.

How It Works

1. Enter a plate number and select (or type) the state/province and country.
2. Look up existing feedback, or leave your own thumbs up or thumbs down.
3. One vote per plate per visitor — you can change your vote later if you want, but you can’t stack multiple votes on the same plate.

No account or sign-up is required. Everything is anonymous.

Privacy & Data

• We don’t ask for your name, account, or any identifying information to use this tool.
• To prevent the same visitor from voting on the same plate repeatedly, we store a hashed (scrambled, one-way) version of your IP address — never your raw IP address itself.
• A small cookie lets you look up “your reports” later. It’s just a random token; it isn’t tied to your identity.
• We do not sell or share any data collected here with third parties.

Requesting Removal

If you’d like feedback removed for a specific plate — yours or otherwise — use the “Request to remove this plate from the database” link after looking it up. Removal requests are reviewed by a real person before anything is deleted; we don’t auto-delete on request, since that would let anyone erase feedback they simply disagree with.

Fair Use

Please be a decent human about this. Don’t use plate numbers to look up or share anyone’s personal information — this tool only shows thumbs-up/thumbs-down counts, nothing more. If you see the tool being abused, let us know.
